Dongsung Hong, Business Development Manager-IT, Office of Technology Commercialization. Dongsung is responsible for evaluating commercial potential and managing the commercialization and realization of technology-based innovations owned by Purdue University. Dongsung oversees intellectual property licensing in the area of information technology, computer science, computer engineering, nanotechnology, bioinformatics, computer security and data visualization.
Prior to joining Purdue, Dongsung worked as research and development engineer for companies in microelectronics and nanotechnology sectors which includes Samsung Electronics, Cypress Semiconductor and Seagate Technology.
Dongsung holds a bachelor's degree in electronic engineering from Kyunghee University as well as M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Michigan State University.
